Accommodation is without a doubt the most important part of your trip, I will not stand for the whole 'It's only a place to rest your head'. Yeah, of course it is, but why rest your head in the same room as a mouse? Why sleep somewhere that has you holding your breath, on the verge of passing out, because of the smell?
